Million Dollar Burnt Ends
What's up Ribertarians,
The big game is getting closer and closer which means you're running out of time to decide on what to make.
Today we'd like to talk to you about burnt ends from a chuck roast. Many (most) people call these poor mans burnt ends, but I'll tell you what -- there is absolutely nothing poor about them. In fact, they're so rich that they taste like a million bucks. Plus they're also stupid easy to make!
As usual, grab yourself a beer (or 12) and let's get into it.

To start off, you'll need:
- 4-5lb chuck roast
- 1/4 cup of our Ribertarian United Steaks of America rub
- 4 tbsp of our Ribertarian Charcoal Committee rub
- 1 bottle brown sugar BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- butcher paper (optional)
- your smoker
- beer!
First off, get your smoker set to 250. While it's warming up, go ahead and liberally (RIBerally?) season your chuck roast with the USA and Charcoal rubs.
Once your smoker is warmed up, go ahead and throw your chuck roast on there. Once it reaches 165 internal and you're satisfied with your bark, go ahead and wrap it in butcher paper. This should take around 2-4 hours.
Put back on your smoker until it hits 203-205 internal and your probe goes into it like butter. Wrap in towels and stick it in a cooler for at least an hour.
Once your chuck roast has rested, remove it from your cooler and chop it up into 1 inch cubes. Combine the cubes, brown sugar, honey and BBQ sauce in an aluminum pan and stick back on your smoker at 275 for roughly 45 minutes.
I guarantee you've never tasted anything like these. They'll absolutely blow the socks off of all of your Super Bowl guests.
Happy Super Bowl weekend and have fun smoking!
